The guard petals act as a protective mechanism to the inner petals that are yet to bloom. Hence, in this case, the white roses are still in fresh condition.

With regards to white roses flower care, we spoke to our senior florist – Ms. Anna to suggest few ways on how to keep white roses fresh:
- Keep them in cool place, preferably air condition room.
- Get a water sprayer to spray the petals so that they are hydrated.
- Keep the stem filled with water.
- Do not panic if the outer petals start to wither. As mentioned above, they are guard petals and act as a protective mechanism for the inner petals. Keep them if they are still pleasant-looking or you can remove them to keep the flower blooming.
